Rotation of Hands & Arms:

(This drill can help you eliminate a slice and hit the ball straighter)

Let me explain:
The proper rotation of the hands and arms is critical for hitting the ball long and straight.
The following pictures will illustrate a drill to develop the proper motion.

Backswing:
Rotate the hands and arms so that the toe of the club is pointing horizontaly to the right.

Forward swing:
Rotate the hands and arms so that the toe of the club is pointing horizontaly to the left.

Animation of Drill:

This will help you understand the action of the hands and arms during the swing.

Try getting them to rotate in this maner.
Holding the club too tightly will hinder the proper hand and arm rotation.
